The European Union (Future Relationship) Act 2020 turned the Brexit deal with the EU into UK law. It completed its passage in Parliament and, after receiving Royal Assent, now provides the domestic framework for how the UK will trade with, travel to, and cooperate with the EU.
The bill has completed its passage through Parliament and received Royal Assent; it is now law.
In the main votes, the bill was approved by large majorities (521–73). A separate Business of the House motion on Ian Blackford's amendment was defeated (60–362). Labour MPs largely backed the bill, while Conservative MPs voted in a mixed pattern, with some opposition from other parties.
